Our Mission

Vision

The Organization’s mission is to:

●       Foster connections among past and present Pitchforks of Duke University, and;

●       Support the current Pitchforks of Duke University group as they continue a tradition of collegiate a cappella excellence.

Ways in which we plan to pursue this mission may include, but are not limited to:

●       Creating and maintaining a database of Pitchforks alumni;

●       Supporting regional alumni groups (musical and social);

●       Supporting planning of 5-year Pitchforks reunions on-campus;

●       Planning other alumni on-campus events;

●       Providing technical, musical, and logistical support to the current group;

●       Supporting the larger a cappella community;

●       Community outreach and charitable work leveraging our a cappella strengths;

Over the next ten years, grow into a mature alumni group, prioritizing connections, musical and logistical support first, followed by generating financial resources and providing more support and planning of Pitchforks alumni events, with milestones for 45th (2024) and 50th (2029) reunion years.
